Today Google announced “Project Glass”.
A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input.
They also released a video of how this could look when its done.
Back in the day when Microsoft release the .net framework and announced “Hailstorm”, the inevitable “vision” video came out and the future looked bright.
Google’s “Project Glass” video strikes me as similar to the .net vision video.
Its fine to dream big, but dangerous to get people excited about a non-existent product with slick motion graphics. Video producers are not bound by the same constraints as software or hardware developers.
